Brazilian Getaway with Brazil's Amazon

The fascinating Amazon Jungle, vibrant cities, friendly people, beautiful beaches, stunning scenery, and interesting, historic sites…that is what awaits you on this Brazil tour featuring spectacular Rio de Janeiro, Iguassu Falls, and the Amazon with an overnight also in Manaus. You’ll spend four nights in the cosmopolitan city of Rio, where you’ll enjoy guided sightseeing featuring the magnificent panoramic views from atop Sugarloaf Mountain and Corcovado Mountain, where the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue is found. In Manaus, your guided sightseeing includes vestiges from its opulent, rubber-boom days.

Highlights of this tour through Brazil are the scenic Amazon and Iguassu Falls. With your expert Naturalist, venture into the flooded Amazon forest by canoe and walk along trails in search of the vast flora and fauna found in the pristine rainforest. Also visit a local community to see what life is like on the banks of the Amazon River. At Iguassu Falls, found on the border of Brazil and Argentina, marvel at these thundering falls made up of over 275 cataracts spanning nearly two miles wide. See both the Brazilian and Argentinean sides of the falls for vastly different perspectives during your two days here. Learn firsthand why Iguazu means “big water” in the local Guaraní language. Photos do not do them justice; you must witness them in person!

Globus has also arranged some out-of-the-ordinary experiences for you on this Brazil tour. In Rio, learn about Brazil’s national liqueur, cachaça, during a special tasting. You’ll also have a chance to do as the Cariocas, or Rio’s residence, do and learn how to Samba during a lesson before an authentic Samba show. From the bustling, big city of Rio to the thriving Amazon and stunning Iguassu Falls, this tour to Brazil is the perfect vacation!
